Some homes stir something within me and this 1920 Queen Anne Victorian in Grant Park is one of them. With its wraparound porch, original hardwood floors, stained glass and clawfoot tub, this historic home carries the craftsmanship, thoughtful details and quiet character that only a century of life can give, which is exactly why it's my favorite kind of house to list. Your journey begins the moment you arrive on Sydney Street. The high hipped roof, front-facing gable, and expansive wraparound porch capture your attention and invite you to slow down. Step inside beneath a stained-glass transom and feel the history all around you: a central hall plan, soaring high ceilings, dentil and picture rail molding, original hardwood floors, and four decorative coal fireplaces with original mantels that tell the story of another time. Experience the pleasure of a grand dining room made for gathering, lingering and filling the table. Two stately bedrooms with fireplaces offer a peaceful retreat, and the original clawfoot tub is waiting for a long, slow soak. A new roof, new HVAC, freshly built deck bring modern comfort and updated systems to this historic Victorian. Alley access offers potential for off-street parking. Set across from Grant Park in the heart of intown Southeast Atlanta, steps from Zoo Atlanta and steps to the BeltLine, this home isn't just a purchase. It's an experience, and an invitation to become its next steward and write its next chapter.
