Anne Powers became a realtor in 2008 when, with the downturn of the economy, buying and selling homes required hard work and dedication even more than ever.  Enjoying the challenge, Anne was successful due to the appreciation she felt for her clients and her desire to provide them with excellent customer service.  By navigating them through the buying and selling process in pursuit of a smooth and successful closing, she has continued to enjoy repeat and referral business.

With an educational background in advertising and an appreciation for classic architecture and garden design, Anne has enjoyed blending her creative interests with her knowledge of real estate to successfully sell her listings or advise her buyer clients on making quality purchases. She attributes her proven negotiating skills to her 20-year hobby before becoming a realtor of buying antiques at a reasonable price which allowed her to sell them for a profit in her venues previously operated at The Stalls and Interiors Market on Bennett Street.

Anne considers one of her most valuable attributes to be her excessive amount of energy.   Prior to being a realtor, Anne held offices in many Atlanta organizations for which she remains active and charitable: President of the Woman's Auxiliary of Piedmont Hospital, a Phillip Shutze docent of the Swan House at the Atlanta History Center, President of Planters Garden Club, and Chairman of the debutante ball, the Bal de Salut, benefiting Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.  As a member of the Forward Arts Foundation, she has performed numerous responsibilities and has chaired its two major fundraisers, the Flea Market and Fashion Show, in support the visual arts of Atlanta.  The friendships made while volunteering for these organizations, as well as the referrals from clients she continues to acquire, have been the backbone of her real estate career.

Believing that a pre-requisite for being a realtor is the ability to multi-task, Anne attributes her training from being the mother of twins.  After seeing them successfully enrolled in college, Anne dedicated herself full-time to the business of real estate, working with buyers and sellers in price points ranging from $50,000 to $11,500,000 for condos and homes throughout Atlanta.  As a result, Anne has been consecutively a Life Member and consistently a Top Producer of the Atlanta Realtors Association.  Most recently, she became a 10-Year Phoenix Award recipient while ranking the #4 Individual Agent of Beacham and Company Realtors, where she was previously associated.

Anne and her family have lived in the Haynes Manor and Peachtree Heights West neighborhoods of Buckhead for over 40 years.  Her husband, Bob, is a vascular surgeon with the Piedmont Heart Institute at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and, in their spare time, they enjoy tennis, cycling, golf lessons, gardening, and swimming laps. They prefer active vacations which provide the opportunity to participate in these sports together in the US and throughout the world, as well as locally at the Piedmont Driving Club, where they are members.  Also, Anne and Bob can be found every Friday evening celebrating the end of a busy week with tacos and a margarita at one of Atlanta's three Taqueria del Sols.
